Yes, I'm writing

I've been writing quite a few poems, but they are extremely personal and not something I really want to post.

Just an update.

I'll write something post-worthy again, at some point.

On the way to The Center

Yay! I wrote again. It's been forever, and hopefully won't be so long, again.

Here is another out-of-order installment to my nameless, futuristic tale.

Life just gets in the way, doesn't it?

Damn this Administration program and it getting in the way of me doing everything.

Damn it all to hell.

Seriously, though, I did start writing a couple of weeks ago about Andrew's car trip to the Center. I still want to change that name. Something appropriate for a government-run, authoritarian "school" for young geniuses.

I will wait to post that until I add a little more. You know, when I have time. In like, four years, maybe.

(Grrr!)

He couldn't come to terms with it, no matter how hard he tried. It was just completely irrational from any angle. She was a friend. A friend. Something he hadn't even known until he came here. He just kept thinking the same stupid thought over and over: How could she do this?? Andrew knew he needed to prepare himself for the horrible events that were surely to come, but how?

Woo-hoo, I remembered my password!!

I haven't written in a long time, but I plan to start soon. It took me a whole week to remember my stupid password, even though it's not a hard one for me to remember. Grr!

Andrew is shown his room.

I haven't done much editing, but here's another installment in the Andrew story. It doesn't have a title, and won't, until I actually figure out the real plot. It's all so hazy...

Andrew has just arrived at The Center (may change the name--I think I stole it from that Pretender show...)
Here's your room. )

Here is that Harry Potter piece I thought I lost but recently found. I wrote this before the last book came out. I like it, but don't feel obligated to agree. Just don't tell me if you don't like it.

Here it is. )

I'm back!

Here's another excerpt from the futuristic story I'm developing, with Andrew as the protagonist. I expect to be "developing" it for many years, but I'm having a good time with it. I've journaled a lot about background and support information, but I won't include that, right now. You can ask me about specific characters if you think of questions. Either I'll tell you, or I'll get to thinking about it!

Found it!!

Not that anyone is waiting, but I swear I'll post some writing, soon. I am so ecstatic because I found a missing portion of a Harry Potter piece I wrote that is currently the one I am most proud of. (Hmm--not a great sentence, that one.) I was inwardly frantic that I would never find it, and you can't just write something over that you wrote when you were in a zone of sorts. But it's all still handwritten, so I have to type it up.

But I found it! Yay!

posts to come

I have several little writing snip-its to post; I just haven't had the time. So I'm posting to say that I *will* post stuff. Later. Sometime.

Character development

I've been taking some notes on characters I want to put in my story about Andrew, so no new writings to post. Maybe I'll post some old ones, if I get around to it. I'm inexperienced with developing a whole plot, so I'm thinking about the people involved and letting the larger plot take shape around that. We'll see how it goes. Even if it's something that I end up totally scrapping, it's fun to work on and won't be a wasted effort.

Branching out on my own...

I started making up my own character/story, today. It's set in the future. I just read a book for older kids called, "The Last Book in the Universe," by Rodman Philbrick, and my writing today is very obviously related to that, because I liked it a lot. A good read!

So here it is.

This is one of my first Harry Potter writings. The first several posts will all be HP, until I come up with some new stuff. Enjoy!
